When configuring a multi-layered application solution such as SAP or Terminal Services Server Farms back-ended by SQL, sometimes we are confronted with the need to direct network traffic to specific networks so that we are not inflicting significant amounts of additional or unwanted traffic on production or end-user networks. When building a platform for a new business application to provide services to users or your customers, the last thing you want to do is negatively impact performance on the existing network.
